Hey guys! I’m Jarrah Carly Licernia, a blogger for Traveltime Africa. I’ll love to share with you my first time experience at Buka Restaurant.
After few years of planning to visit one of the popular restaurants in Ghana, I finally made it. When I visited Buka, the main thing I wanted to do was to eat lol and of course that’s exactly what I did! Buka Restaurant has always been on top of my list when it comes to the best places to eat on my visit to Accra, Ghana.
The Buka Restaurant is situated in a beautiful and serene environment at Osu, Accra-Ghana. I noticed the chic furniture, the exposed wooden beams and the beautiful decorations of true African designs all over. They welcomed me with a warm smile which i’ll always remember.
Moreover, Just sitting there and waiting for my food was just relaxing and a welcoming feel for me. Felt I was in a real good company. They got welcoming personalities from the waiters/waitress to the manager. I love their great services and most of all everywhere is so clean and tidy.
Think of real African cuisine and chances are you might be thinking of popular Ghanaian foods like Banku with grilled tilapia, Kontomire stew with yam, from ebunubunu to waakye with goat meat, and other popular Nigerian dishes. Different types of local and inter-continental drinks of my choice available. Not only that, but guess what I ate? of course my favorite Ivorian meal called Attieke with its yummy sauces and the fishes accompanied with it. There was this wonderful day where I had to eat a double plate of the attieke! Isn’t that crazy?
Yes! It’s a must restaurant to visit when you set your foot in Ghana, either alone, with your family or with friends. Trust me, it’ll definitely be a once in a lifetime experience for you just like it was with me. 🙂
